Richard P. Fleitas, Psy.D., Principal
Dr. Fleitas is a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He has decades of experience in multi-focused assessments, consultations, performance coaching, and psychotherapy across the lifespan. His specialty areas include managing clinical and consulting professionals, positive psychology for performance and leadership development, post-traumatic stress, and mood disorders.
Fleitas has used his clinical and consultation skills in neuropsychological private practices, military psychiatric hospitals, United States embassies abroad, elementary and secondary schools, and numerous organizations, both locally and internationally. He has served as an expert witness presenting his clinical findings and the work of other psychologists.
Fleitas founded Psychological Assessment Solutions (PAS) in 2006. This mental health consulting company in Washington, DC serves metro area public, private, and charter schools as well as attorneys and family advocates providing clinical psychologists, social workers, behavior analysts, and other related service therapists.
He co-founded International Diagnostic Solutions, a consulting company providing mental health, related services, and consultation to Department of State foreign service families and foreign nationals via onsite and virtual tele-health platforms. In this role, Fleitas personally traveled to Amman, Jordan, Doha, Qatar, and Kathmandu, Nepal for consulting projects.
Fleitas received a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication from Fairfield University in Connecticut, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in Arlington, Virginia.

In 1993 Fleitas spent a year in Guayaquil, Ecuador teaching English as a Second Language and providing various social services in an impoverished area. The work was a pivotal experience that led to his passion for travel and working cross-culturally.
